How Ceramic Filters Work

Quality ceramic filter elements have a pore size of 0.2–0.5 microns — small enough to block bacteria and protozoa reliably. Many ceramic elements are also impregnated with colloidal silver, which provides an additional antimicrobial effect by inhibiting bacterial growth within the filter itself. Water passes through the ceramic wall by gravity alone.

How Reverse Osmosis Works

Option 1: 12V DC Powered RO System — Suitable for vehicle-based, cabin, or solar-powered setups.

  1. Mount the filter housing assembly in a protected location — away from freezing temperatures and direct sunlight
  2. Connect the inlet to your water source (tank, well pump, or pressurized container)
  3. Wire the 12V pump to your power source (battery bank, solar system, or vehicle power)
